Video Of the Week: #IWillStand by Allegiance

11403035_831008113619500_7783072386403801145_nMy pick for “Video of The Week” is a perfect choice for the upcoming July 4th holiday . “I Will Stand” is a brand new song from Allegiance, and was written by the group’s baritone Jake Sammons. Produced & arranged by Wayne Haun, “I Will Stand” is easily one of the most powerful patriotic songs I’ve heard in a number of years, both musically and lyrically.

I Will Stand” is also a part of something special that Allegiance is doing on social media. The group, Sammons, Kasey Kemp (lead), and TJ Evans (tenor), is asking folks to post pictures of the American flag or a loved one that has served or is currently serving in the military and use the hashtag #IWillStand.

The song has been sent to Christian radio stations across the country, as well as Americana and Country stations. The song is now available for download on iTunes and from the group’s Online Store. I’ve included the lyric video for “I Will Stand” below as well as a video explaining more about the #IWillStand campaign. Take a moment and listen to this great song!

I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July and may God Bless America!

Video Of The Week: Acoustic Allegiance with Special Guests

Our pick for video of the week is from one of Southern Gospel’s up and coming trio’s. Allegiance, formerly known as Declaration, is comprised of Jake Sammons (Baritone), Kasey Kemp (lead), and T.J. Evans (tenor). The group has been posting a series of videos on YouTube called “Acoustic Allegiance”, with the group performing some of their favorite songs and taking requests from viewers, via their social media pages.

The latest installment features the guys singing “I’ll Fly Away”, while a couple gentleman you may recognize, Michael Booth of The Booth Brothers and Christian Davis, are trying to get some attention. It’s a fun video to watch, so check it out!

Declaration Trio To Change Name

Monday, it was announced by Declaration that the group is changing their name,  Unbeknownst to the group when they formed, a rock band already held the trademark to the name. So the group (Kasey Kemp, Jake Sammons, T.J. Evans) is asking Gospel Music fans to help them find their new name. All suggestions can be forwarded to the group by sending an email to Names@DeclarationTrio.com. Once the group receives the nominations from fans, they will hold a vote for fans to select a new name by voting for their favorite among the Top 5 suggestions, selected by the group. Here is the video that was published on Monday, with all the details.

Since their formation over three years ago, Declaration has been a group on the rise. They were nominated by readers of the Singing News Magazine as one of the finalists in the Favorite New Trio category. They have also been featured artists on Paul Heil’s nationally syndicated radio program, The Gospel Greats. I urge you to support these guys as they are one of the finest young trios in the industry today. To find out more about Declaration, visit their Facebook page or website Today.

Video Of The Week: “In Good Hands” by Declaration

Declaration is one of the finest trios to come along in the last few years. The group consists of Kasey Kemp on lead, Jake Sammons on baritone, and T.J. Evans on tenor. The group has really been making strides in 2014 with the addition of Evans, who has helped the group create their best vocal blend to date. The group is also nominated for a Singing News Fan Award in the Favorite New Trio category.

Although the group has been blessed this year with many doors opening, they’ve also had their share of hard times. In this video, Kasey gives his testimony of some health issues he had a few months ago. The group then performs a song they recorded a few years ago and have re-recorded with T.J., “In Good Hands”. The song is done with just an acoustic guitar, played by Sammons and is performed to perfection. Coupled with Kasey’s testimony, it makes for a very powerful moment. Take a listen and see for yourself!
